Although Ramot is a professional treatment centre for addiction, we remain a non-profit organisation and have to deal with the challenges resulting from limited funds. Therefore we are appealing to all our partners to help us to raise funds to assist us in helping so many desperate individuals suffering from substance dependency.
Many of our patients cannot afford a medical aid and we have subsidised their rates in the past. Their disposable income is not enough to pay for treatment. Subsidising them is becoming increasingly difficult for us to do and we are therefore looking for donation partners. We believe these patients have a good prognosis for recovery and maintaining sobias most of them are able to reunify with a support structure such as a family, as well as a work environment. We are also trying to create awareness amongst employers that according to the Occupational Health and Safety Act, companies are required by law to send their workers suffering from substance dependency for treatment.
